SmartNet est\u00e1 concebido para servir de plataforma a empresas del sector TIC y a administraciones p\u00fablicas extreme\u00f1as que gestionan una red de telecomunicaciones y que necesitar\u00e1n adaptarse al nuevo entorno 5G. Este contexto, de las redes de pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n, estar\u00e1 gobernado por redes de muy alta velocidad y alta fiabilidad en el que el aumento de las conexiones ser\u00e1 exponencial y la generaci\u00f3n de tr\u00e1fico se producir\u00e1 desde multitud de dispositivos y con tecnolog\u00edas heterog\u00e9neas.
