Uno de los retos a los que se enfrentan actualmente los investigadores es la reducci\u00f3n del consumo energ\u00e9tico, debido a las significativas limitaciones que presentan algunos de estos dispositivos. Adem\u00e1s, aunque inicialmente la b\u00fasqueda de la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica estuvo centrada en el hardware, tambi\u00e9n se ha convertido en una preocupaci\u00f3n para los desarrolladores de software. De hecho, actualmente supone una intensa \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n que presenta como objetivo principal el an\u00e1lisis y la optimizaci\u00f3n del consumo de energ\u00eda en los sistemas software.<\/p>\n<p>Por ello, esta investigaci\u00f3n analiza el ahorro energ\u00e9tico que puede obtenerse mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de un amplio conjunto de t\u00e9cnicas destinadas a la escritura de c\u00f3digo energ\u00e9ticamente eficiente. Tambi\u00e9n demuestra que los programadores pueden ahorrar m\u00e1s energ\u00eda si aplican manualmente las t\u00e9cnicas propuestas, en lugar de confiar en otras opciones de optimizaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica ofrecidas por compiladores como GCC (GNU Compiler Collection).
