{"id":3592,"date":"2024-06-28T09:52:25","date_gmt":"2024-06-28T07:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.128.3.28\/?p=3592"},"modified":"2025-01-22T10:31:35","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T09:31:35","slug":"investigadora-de-la-fundacion-computaex-defiende-su-trabajo-fin-de-master-sobre-bioinformatica-y-biologia-computacional","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/computaex.es\/en\/ciencia\/investigadora-de-la-fundacion-computaex-defiende-su-trabajo-fin-de-master-sobre-bioinformatica-y-biologia-computacional\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigadora de la Fundaci\u00f3n COMPUTAEX defiende su Trabajo Fin de M\u00e1ster sobre bioinform\u00e1tica y biolog\u00eda computacional"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>D.\u00aa Mercedes N\u00fa\u00f1ez ha defendido su Trabajo Fin de M\u00e1ster (TFM),\u00a0<em>Exploring the Structure of Chaperonin CCT Bound to HSF1A: A Cryo-EM Image Processing Approach<\/em>, para la obtenci\u00f3n del M\u00e1ster en Bioinform\u00e1tica y Biolog\u00eda Computacional de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid (<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uam.es\/uam\/inicio\">UAM<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>El trabajo se ha desarrollado en el Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n\u00a0<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnb.csic.es\/index.php\/es\/investigacion\/departamentos-de-investigacion\/estructura-de-macromoleculas\/estructura-y-funcion-de-las-chaperonas-moleculares\">Estructura y Funci\u00f3n de Chaperonas Moleculares<\/a>, perteneciente al departamento de Estructura de Macromol\u00e9culas del Centro Nacional de Biotecnolog\u00eda (<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnb.csic.es\/index.php\/es\/\">CNB-CSIC<\/a>) y se ha enfocado en el estudio de la estructura de la chaperonina eucariota CCT, crucial para el plegamiento de nuevas prote\u00ednas y la homeostasis proteica. Su mal funcionamiento se asocia con enfermedades como C\u00e1ncer, Parkinson, Huntington y Alzheimer, de ah\u00ed su importancia como diana terap\u00e9utica. Estudios previos han descubierto que la mol\u00e9cula HSF1A es inhibidora de la actividad de CCT, lo que la convierte en un posible f\u00e1rmaco capaz de regular la respuesta de protecci\u00f3n al estr\u00e9s. Sin embargo, el sitio de uni\u00f3n de HSF1A a CCT se desconoce. Este estudio ha investigado la interacci\u00f3n mediante el procesamiento de im\u00e1genes de cryo-microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica y ensayos de acoplamiento in silico, revelando posibles sitios de uni\u00f3n que permiten ahondar en su mecanismo de acci\u00f3n y avanzar en el proceso de desarrollo de nuevos f\u00e1rmacos.<\/p>\n<p>D.\u00aa Mercedes N\u00fa\u00f1ez es t\u00e9cnica de apoyo a la I+D+I en\u00a0<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"\/en\/descripcion-la-fundacion\/\">COMPUTAEX<\/a>\u00a0en el \u201c<em>Plan Complementario de Biotecnolog\u00eda Aplicada a la Salud<\/em>\u201d, financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n con fondos de la Uni\u00f3n Europea\u00a0<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"https:\/\/\/en\/next-generation-eu.europa.eu\/index_en\/\">NextGenerationEU<\/a>\u00a0(PRTR-C17.I1) y las Comunidades Aut\u00f3nomas de Extremadura, Galicia, Castilla-La Mancha, Andaluc\u00eda, el Gobierno de Arag\u00f3n, el Gobierno Vasco, y la Generalitat de Calalu\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo general del proyecto ha sido el desarrollo de herramientas para diagn\u00f3stico, pron\u00f3stico y terapias avanzadas, o dirigidas, en medicina personalizada. La Fundaci\u00f3n participa en la L\u00ednea de Actuaci\u00f3n 2, en la que contribuye con la integraci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de datos, mediante la implementaci\u00f3n de modelos de datos para medicina de precisi\u00f3n y el desarrollo de herramientas de an\u00e1lisis y visualizaci\u00f3n de datos. Para poder analizar toda esta informaci\u00f3n se desarrollar\u00e1n innovadoras soluciones de integraci\u00f3n, minado y tratamiento de datos gracias a los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos aportados por las plataformas integrales de an\u00e1lisis -\u00f3micas (metabol\u00f3mica, prote\u00f3mica, flux\u00f3mica, microbi\u00f3tica y gen\u00f3mica), de la potencia de c\u00e1lculo y capacidad para desentra\u00f1ar la complejidad de la inteligencia artificial, y de la informaci\u00f3n mecan\u00edstica basada en la biolog\u00eda estructural obtenida por BREM, para as\u00ed favorecer la identificaci\u00f3n de huellas biol\u00f3gicas validadas (biomarcadores) de manera personalizada.<\/p>\n<p>En Extremadura, COMPUTAEX colabora en este proyecto con al Centro de Cirug\u00eda de M\u00ednima Invasi\u00f3n Jes\u00fas Us\u00f3n (<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ccmijesususon.com\/\">CCMIJU<\/a>), la Fundaci\u00f3n para la Fundaci\u00f3n para la Formaci\u00f3n e Investigaci\u00f3n de los Profesionales de la Salud de Extremadura (<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"https:\/\/\/en\/saludextremadura.ses.es\/fundesalud\/web\/\">FundeSalud<\/a>) y la Universidad de Extremadura (<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\"
