{"id":4741,"date":"2016-01-29T09:40:32","date_gmt":"2016-01-29T08:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.128.3.28\/?p=4741"},"modified":"2025-01-23T09:15:30","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T08:15:30","slug":"lusitania-empleado-en-la-validacion-de-un-novedoso-modelo-para-comunicaciones-en-memoria-compartida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/computaex.es\/en\/supercomputacion\/lusitania-empleado-en-la-validacion-de-un-novedoso-modelo-para-comunicaciones-en-memoria-compartida\/","title":{"rendered":"LUSITANIA empleado en la validaci\u00f3n de un novedoso modelo para comunicaciones en memoria compartida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Juan Antonio Rico, profesor del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda de Sistemas Inform\u00e1ticos y Telem\u00e1ticos de la Universidad de Extremadura, ha presentado este viernes, d\u00eda 29 de enero, el trabajo titulado \u00ab<em>\u03c4\u2013Lop: Scalably and Accurately Modeling Contention and Mapping Effects in Multi-core Clusters<\/em>\u00ab, para la obtenci\u00f3n de su Tesis Doctoral por la\u00a0<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unex.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad de Extremadura<\/a>, dirigida por Juan Carlos D\u00edaz, profesor del Departamento de Tecnolog\u00eda de los Computadores y las Comunicaciones. El acto se ha celebrado en el sal\u00f3n de actos del Edificio de Institutos Universitarios de Investigaci\u00f3n, de C\u00e1ceres, a las 12:00 horas.<\/p>\n<p>Habiendo utilizado como recurso el\u00a0<a class=\"views-ajax-processed-processed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cenits.es\/cenits\/lusitania\/caracteristicas-lusitania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">supercomputador LUSITANIA<\/a>, Rico propone un nuevo modelo denominado \u03c4\u2013Lop, para el modelado preciso de comunicaciones definidas en el est\u00e1ndar MPI de paso de mensajes en clusters\u00a0multin\u00facleo heterog\u00e9neos. \u03c4\u2013Lop se basa en el concepto de transferencias simult\u00e1neas, aplic\u00e1ndolo de forma precisa y representativa al comportamiento de algoritmos, en plataformas con canales de comunicaci\u00f3n compartidos y jer\u00e1rquicos, teniendo en cuenta los efectos producidos en los procesadores por la contenci\u00f3n y el despliegue de cada proceso. As\u00ed, el modelo \u03c4\u2013Lop presenta la capacidad de predecir, con gran precisi\u00f3n, el coste de algoritmos avanzados y mecanismos de comunicaci\u00f3n utilizados por las principales implementaciones de paso de mensajes, como MPICH u Open MPI.
